There was once Yeremey tsar. He went to a year trip in order to make an inventory of all his state. Once he leaded to a well to drink some water and was suddenly seized by a monster, an undersea tsar who required a ransom for his liberation – something Yeremey never knew about but what he had in his kingdom. The tsar agreed, but he didn’t know that while he was away, his tsarina gave birth to his son. The movie tells about various intrigues and insidiousness, despite of which a fisherman’s son Andrey met Varvara and they fell in love with each other, about tsar Yeremey, who had to blush for his lazy and stupid heir, and about the happy ending.
