There is liberation and fratricidal war in the territory of Ukraine. Bohdan Khmelnytsky united Zaporozhye army in an alliance with the Crimean Khan and tries to expel the Polish landlords from Ukrainian lands. Everything is on fire thousands of innocent people are killed; but even in these troubled times, there is a time for love, jealousy and rivalry. Cossack Colonel Bohun and Polish nobleman Skshetusky try to achieve one and the same girl. And in a battle they get a chance to decide who deserves her more.
