An Interview With a Blind Man: Ihor Kushnir on Barrier-Free IT, Public Perception, and Funny Stories
An Interview With a Blind Man: Ihor Kushnir on Barrier-Free IT, Public Perception, and Funny Stories
The International Day of the Blind is celebrated annually on November 13. The MEGOGO team will ask Ihor Kushnir about his everyday life, leisure time, and society's attitude towards visually impaired people as part of the social initiative "Look How It's Heard". He works as an IT specialist, voices audio descriptions for movies on MEGOGO, leads an active life, and is also completely blind.
We talk about education for the blind, movies with audio descriptions, as well as using smartphones and shuttles. Why it is important to treat people with disabilities habitually, and not with regret or, on the contrary, heroism. And is our society moving in the right direction when it comes to barrier-freeness?
