The second world war, the summer of 1941. Ivan serving at the USSR-Polish frontier gets into a very difficult situation.It is not enough that the fascists have exterminated all soviet soldiers here, but the poles are hostile to the soviet troops considering them the invaders. His personal drama makes everything seem more complicated-the girl he loves is a Pole. Her father is against all soviet citizens, especially military. Ivan has to fight hiding in the forests and swamps, following and overtaking the fascists as a phantom.
