Ksenia Kuznetsova is nearly 40 years old. There are plenty of things she can’t bring herself to do: to adopt Pavlik, a boy from orphanage, to knock out her impudent boyfriend, to call down her friends and call to order a local bandit whose restaurant casts a blight on everyone’s life. After having learned that she is terminally ill, she understands that she can’t keep going kicking the can down the road, and starts to live up to the hilt.
